I clean mine with brake cleaner whenever I have the valve cover off, never see any mayo, just a little bit of varnish buildup. It's basically the same approach to eliminating the CCV as the catch can solutions.Replacing the CCV was a chore and I am willing to pay a little more to insure the quality of the parts so I don't have to do the job again anytime soon.
